How many calories should I eat per day to lose weight?
The amount of calories you need to eat per day to lose weight depends on a number of factors and differs between each person. You can use a weight loss calculator to work out roughly how many calories you should be burning each day. Our ambassador, personal trainer and online fitness coach, Shelly Wubbe, explains it all in losing weight with Shelly Wubbe.
Is losing weight fast healthy?
According to the British Nutrition Foundation, losing around 0.5-1kg of weight per week is healthy. It’s not recommended to drop weight any faster than this as you’re more likely to lose muscle mass and miss out on essential vitamins and minerals.
How can I lose weight with shakes?
Alongside an active lifestyle and a healthy, well-balanced diet, certain shakes can contribute to weight loss. A protein shake, however, is not the same as a meal replacement shake.
A protein shake, like our Smart Protein, contains 90 calories and no less than 18g of protein per shake. It’s ideal for maintaining muscle on your weight loss your journey, although it doesn’t contain the protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals of an everyday meal.
Our Low Calorie Meal, on the other hand, contains 22g of high-quality protein as well as 30% of the recommended daily amount of vitamins and minerals. This makes it perfect for replacing breakfast, lunch or dinner.

What is the difference between Low Calorie Meal and Smart Protein?
Low Calorie Meal is a meal replacement shake for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. It contains about 30% of the recommended daily vitamins and minerals. Alternatively, Smart Protein is a low-calorie protein shake that’s perfect to take between meals to help up your protein intake without consuming the calories of a normal shake.
What are the best snacks to eat between meals?
A protein shake, like Smart Protein, or protein bars are perfect for satisfying those craving between meals. You can also snack on other healthy options like nuts, vegetables and fruit.
Which supplements are good for fat loss?
If you want to lose weight, a healthy and varied diet is key. Although, there are certain supplements that can help along the way. Our 24hr Fatburn, for example, contains popular weight loss ingredients like green tea and caffeine. Just make sure to be mindful of other caffeinated products, like coffee or tea, you’ve had throughout the day when using caffeinated weight loss supplements.
